On March 1-2, 2025, EUA Vice-rector for External Relations and Internationalization G. Avetisyan, Dean of the Faculty of Linguistics and Communication M. Avetisyan, Head of the Chair of Applied Linguistics S. Hakobyan, Acting Head of the Chair A. Petrosyan, as well as the lecturers of the Chair and students of the “Linguistics” specialty participated in the “Teaching for Success” Conference organized by the British Council. Among the invited speakers were representatives of the Chair of Applied Linguistics of the European University of Armenia, who spoke on the following topics:
1. "From Classroom to Career: Future-Ready Students" – presented by PhD Associate Professor Sona Hakobyan, Head of the EUA Chair of Applied Linguistics
2. "Data-Driven Learning: From Consumers of Knowledge to Creators of Knowledge" – presented by Lilit Avetisyan, PhD
The conference served as a platform for exploring the current trends and practices in English language teaching through the lens of Armenia’s CPD (Continuous Professional Development) framework and its professional practices.
During the break, a short meeting-discussion took place with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom, His Excellency John Gallagher, and the Head of the English Language Programs of the British Council, CMgr MCMI | Country Director Armenia, Adde Hovasapyan. Upon conclusion of the event, all participants received certificates of attendance.
