As a result of effective and deep cooperation between the European University of Armenia and Eurac Research Center, Italy, the representatives of the academy staff and students of the Chair of Tourism and Service of the European University of Armenia had the opportunity to make an educational and cognitive visit to Italy from June 26 to July 2, 2023 and visit a number of historical and cultural sites and cultural places of that country. They participated in the agro-tourism activities of the Castelrotto village of the Trentino-Alto Adige region of Italy. An opportunity was also provided to be apart from the Armenian mountains in the Alps and engage in sports tourism by climbing the Alpe di Siusi mountain. The group visited Churburg Castel Coira, Convento Monte Maria, Lake Crezy and a number of other historical and cultural places, as well as St. Lazarus Island (Surb Ghazar), got acquainted with the history and activities of the Mkhitaryan Monastery (San Lazzaro degli Armeni). Within the framework of specialization "Toirism and Hotel business", the members of the group visited the Hotel Pfoesl, Italy, got acquainted with the infrastructure of the hotel's management, the history of the hotel and the services provided. After a 7-day meaningful visit, the EUA students returned with "Tourism and Hotel Business" specialization certificates.
