What inspires people to create masterpieces? Is there a psychological drive or subconscious energy that builds up and results in a burst of creativity? What is the essence of this procedure that embodies our propensity for self-expression through art? Under the guidance of lecturer N. Harutyunyan, first and third-year Psychology students attempted to find the answers to these and related issues within the framework of the "Art and Psyche" workshop. The students presented the connection between the psyche and art, commented on the main factors that are the basis for the reflection of our psyche in art. The senior students shed light on the lives of famous artists, possible mental problems, and their creative paths. In the end, N. Harutyunyan summarized the workshop by presenting the Stendhal or Florence syndrome as a vivid example of the unique influence of art on the psyche.
