📣On February 26, 2025, at the initiative of the EUA Chair of Tourism, a meeting-discussion entitled “Key Issues and Current Reforms in the Tourism Sector of the Republic of Armenia” was held, the speaker of which was Lusine Gevorgyan, Chairwoman of the Tourism Committee of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia.
EUA Rector, Mrs. Heghine Bisharyan, delivered an opening speech and welcomed the distinguished guest and emphasized the importance of initiatives related to the tourism sector and the significance of efforts aimed at its development.
The goal of the meeting was to create a platform where the current issues, new trends in the state policy and legislative reforms in the tourism sector of Armenia should be discussed together, aimed at developing the tourism sector, increasing its efficiency and strengthening its international competitiveness. The speaker also presented the activities and future plans of the Tourism Committee in 2024-2025. The meeting was attended by the individuals responsible for academic programs in the tourism sector of various universities of the Republic of Armenia, professors, researchers, students, tourism organizations and other interested parties.
✒The Rector of the European University of Armenia and the Chairwoman of the Tourism Committee of the Ministry of Economy of Armenia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the University and the Committee the aim of which is to expand cooperation in developing and implementing joint educational programs, various projects and providing internship opportunities for students. The meeting ended with a Q&A session, where participants had the opportunity to present their questions and concerns related to the development of tourism in Armenia.
