International Conference entitled "Artificial Intelligence: Opportunities and Challenges" was held at EUA

On December 5, 2024, International Conference entitled "Artificial Intelligence: Opportunities and Challenges" was held at the European University of Armenia organized jointly by the European University of Armenia and Selart International Research and Educational Group under the auspices of the International Education and Research Alliance. The International Conference was attended by more than 300 participants and about 30 reports were presented from more than a dozen countries, including Armenia, Italy, France, Germany, Ukraine, the USA, Belgium, Spain, Romania, India, etc.  The purpose of the International Conference is to bring together the scientific, research and educational circles dealing with the problems of artificial intelligence, one of the phenomena of great demand and interest in the modern world, on key issues, to study and research the challenges and opportunities in the context of the development of artificial intelligence. 
The speakers invited to the International Conference are: representatives of international organizations, leading European educational and research institutions and the RA Government, field experts, researchers, scientists and other interested persons. In particular: John Edwards, Secretary General of European Association for the Applied Sciences in Higher Education (EURASHE) (Belgium), Colonia Günter,  Secretary General at International Education and Research Alliance (IERA) (Italy),  Renzo Caramaschi, Mayor of Bolzano (Italy), Joan Rafael Garcia Perales, Rector of the Selart European University Spain (Spain), Sebastien Arcos, Director of the "EKLYA" Business School and the "HYBRIA" Institute of Business and Technologies of Lyon Metropole Chamber of Commerce and Industry (France), Anna Hanisyan, Chief Specialist at the Cooperation and Reforms Department of RA Prime Minister’s Office (Armenia), Vardan Matevosyan, Head of Population Data Processing Department of the Migration and Citizenship Service of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs (Armenia), and other representatives.  The leadership of the European University of Armenia, led by the Rector of the European University of Armenia Heghine Bisharyan, participated in the International Conference. The meeting was officially opened by the Vice-Rectors of the European Universuty of Armenia Arman Grigoryan and Gohar Avetisyan.
As a result of the International Conference, specific recommendations and approaches to the issues under consideration were developed, based on comprehensive approaches to transferring the results to competent international and Armenian organizations and stakeholders. The final results of the International Conference will be summarized by the public publication of the materials of the International Conference.
