On June 5-6, 2024, the expert panel of the German ASIIN quality assurance agency made a site visit to the European University of Armenia within the framework of the international accreditation process. The chairman of the expert panel is Dr. Christian Brauweiler from the University of Applied Sciences Zwickau, Germany. The members of the expert panel are Dr., Professor Elena Wilhelm from the Zurich University of Applied Sciences, Dr. Mathias Wundelich, Vice-President Manufacturing Quality at Groupe Renault, Mariam Momjian, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor, a lecturer at the Armenian-Russian University, Deputy head of Tariff Policy Department of Public Services Regulatory Commission of Armenia, Artur Davtyan, Bachelor's Student in Applied Statistics and Data Science, Yerevan State University. The visit was coordinated by ASIIN specialist Andrea Kern. Prior to the visit, the experts studied the EUA self-analysis, the attached documentation and carried out a preliminary evaluation. The expert panel had meetings with the leadership, administrative and academic staffs, students, colleagues of the EUA, carried out an observation of resources and study of additional documents. The next stage of the site visit is the preparation of an expert panel report, which will include the university's strengths and the experts' observations and recommendations for the improvement areas. The ASIIN Accreditation Committee will make a decision after reviewing the documentary bases and taking into account the results of the meetings with the EUA stakeholders. It should be noted that the European University of Armenia is undergoing institutional accreditation for the third time.
