On December 3, 2018, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution declaring January 24 as International Day of Education to celebrate the role of education in ensuring global peace and sustainable development. And today it can be stated that without quality and fair education, without a knowledge-based and education-based value system, as well as without real opportunities to thoroughly engage in a modern civilized society and acquire valuable knowledge and skills for sustainable development, the imperative of human formation and development becomes impossible.
Achieving those results, however, is also impossible without the unification of the forces and abilities of all the beneficiaries of education: teachers, professors, pupils, students, parents, education representatives, creative dedication and broad public support for the sake of having an affordable, accessible, quality and sustainably developing modern education system. Today, the European University of Armenia is guided by the general policy of maintaining these defined values and overcoming challenges, as well as the implementation of goals and objectives, for the benefit of the individual and person's well-being, the development of the country and the state.
Once again, I congratulate all of us on the symbolic beautiful day and wish for progress and new educational and scientific achievements.
