Italian-speaking students enrolled in the "Translation Studies" educational program of the Chair of Applied Linguistics at the European University of Armenia, under the guidance of their lecturer, Lilit Manukyan, actively participated in the "Week of the Italian Language in the World" event, which revolved around the theme of "Italian and Sustainability" this year. The highlight of the event was the screening of the film "The Exile of Dante the Poet," 
produced by the Dante Alighieri Association Headquarters and Stellarfilm. This film pays tribute to the 700th anniversary of the great poet's passing and takes the audience on a captivating visual journey through the places Dante once frequented. The film was shot at various locations, including Tuscany, Liguria, Romania, and Castrocaro, providing a comprehensive view of Dante that encompasses not only the academic but also the contemporary aspects of his life. "Our journey is genuine and purpose-driven, aimed at inspiring new perspectives, suggestions, and a touch of magic," explained the film's director, Fabrizio Bankale. Indeed, screenings of the film in different countries have underscored the timeless allure of Dante in all its facets. Our students had the opportunity to rediscover Dante and share their impressions, all in Italian.
