Bundestag International Parliamentary Scholarship (IPS)

The German Bundestag is seeking highly qualified, committed, and politically engaged young individuals who wish to actively and responsibly contribute to shaping the democratic future of their country.
Young citizens of the Republic of Armenia who have a good command of the German language, were born after March 1, 1996, and hold a university degree are eligible to apply for the German Bundestag’s International Parliamentary Scholarship (IPS) program.

March 1, 2026 – July 31, 2026

About the IPS Program

The program, funded by the German Bundestag and implemented in cooperation with the Free University of Berlin, Humboldt University of Berlin, and the Technical University of Berlin, offers politically active and highly qualified young professionals from 50 countries the opportunity to become familiar with Germany’s parliamentary system. Participants are expected to apply the knowledge and experience gained during the program in their home countries.

The IPS is held under the high patronage of the President of the German Bundestag.


Scholarship and Benefits

Participants will receive a monthly scholarship of 700 euros funded by the German Bundestag. In addition, the program provides:

  • Free accommodation

  • Reimbursement of travel costs to and from Berlin

  • Health, accident, and liability insurance

Scholarship holders are enrolled as students for the summer semester at Humboldt University of Berlin.
