From May 6 to 10, 2024, Gohar Avetisyan, Vice-Rector for External Relations and Internationalization and Karine Sargsyan, Head of the Department of Quality Assurance and Educational Reforms of the European University of Armenia, participated in the "Staff Training Week” jointly organized by the Vilniaus Kolegija, University of Applied Sciences (VIKO) and EURASHE research group, which was held within the framework of the Erasmus+ "International Credit Mobility" Key Action 1. The aim of the training was to develop applied research, innovation and, particularly, impact at both national and regional levels. In the framework of the training, the EURASHE research core group presented the EU research strategies, the concept of "Open Science" and its local and regional impact. The second part of the training was devoted to the identification of Horizon Europe's opportunities in staff exchange, training and research. During the staff training week, a meeting of internationalization officials of the participating universities was held, during which the possibilities of closer cooperation between the universities, applying for joint grant programs, and promoting the mobility of students and academic staff representatives were discussed.
As part of the training, the participants also visited partner organizations of the Vilniaus Kolegija, University of Applied Sciences, which greatly contribute to securing and commercializing the research results of Lithuanian universities. At the end of the Staff Training Week, the participants, including representatives of the European University of Armenia G. Avetisyan and K. Sargsyan, presented the research evaluation mechanisms and methods operating at the EUA.
