On April 24, 2024, the bowed flowers at the Tsitsernakaberd memorial complex are collected every year, their petals are separated from the stem, and the petals are used to make handmade recycled paper and candles. And with the remaining parts of the flowers, a fertilizer mixture is prepared. Along with the flower picking, a paper recycling process is carried out. Suzanna Petrosyan, one of the founders of "Aralez" charitable NGO, noted that the initiative combines the advice of giving a "second life" to plucked flowers and the environmental mission of reusing them through recycling. The students of the European University of Armenia also participated in the Flower Collection and contributed to the initiative of the Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Values and the "Aralez" charity NGO.
