A lecture on plagiarism-checking mechanisms was held at EUA by Yulia Kalchun-Nabiyeva, director of business development at Plagiat.pl company. She shared her experience in the field and shed some light on the rapidly evolving methods of plagiarizing and the ways of detecting it. The lecturer introduced StrikePlagiarism.com tool to EUA's Deans, Professors, Heads of Departments and Heads of Chairs. The advantage of this plagiarism-checking mechanism is that it both detects plagiarism and teaches how to prevent, correct mistakes and improve the quality and originality of written text. The mechanism operates in various languages, including Armenian.
